Description
A heavily grogged coarse crank clay developed for Jim Robison. This body has all the elements to allow the maker to produce large textured sculptural pieces. Made from highly plastic, iron bearing ball clays it offers low shrinkage and is ideal for ceramic murals and figurative work. This body fires 1180C 1300C and is suitable for oxidising or reduction atmospheres.
Temperature Range 1170 – 1300C.
Shrinkage (w-F) 9% at 1200C.
0.35% expansion at 500C.
Texture (1-smooth 10 coarse) 10.
Fired colour: Warm Buff.
Suitable for oxidising or reduction atmospheres.
