Description

Amaco Oolong Matte Shino is a matte, 100% mixable mid-fire glaze that yields wonderfully varied shades of mint green and brown depending on the thickness of application. Influenced by the humble earthiness of tea ceremony bowls, our Shino glazes give a traditional high-iron look to any high fire clay body. Beautiful on textured or smooth clay bodies, blendable to get the right degree of matte or glossy surface.
Easy to use in a broad firing range from 1184C to 1241C (cone 5/6)
Firing range apply 3 coats to bisk.
Shino glazes can also be layered with Potters Choice line of glazes for different effects.
Mixable colours for custom palette.
Always test new glazes and combination glazes.
