Description
Woods Metal Alloy is an ultra-soft white metal alloy with an ultra-low melting point. Developed for the aircraft industry in the 1920’s – this metal alloy allows thin-walled tubing to be stretched, bent, rolled, and formed, without deforming or crimping the material. It is also used as a component in bi-metal strips, instrumentation, and a variety of applications throughout industry and the wider world. It is an alloy of lead, cadmium, bismuth, and tin and as such the fumes given off from the molten alloy are hazardous.
