RTV640 Addition cure silicone is the new replacement of Addition cure 33, this translucent low shrinkage silicone has a high chemical resistance and has a shore A hardness of 40.As with all addition/Platinum cure silicones there are some materials with which it is not compatible, and which will inhibit the cure. The cure can be inhibited by the presence of nitrogen, sulphur, phosphorus, arsenic, PVC stabilisers, epoxy resin, this includes contact with materials that contain these substances such as latex, plasticine, some ceramic clays, sulphur vulcanised rubbers, condensation cure silicones, onion and garlic (due to the sulphur content).
