Description
A heavily grogged black clay perfect for hand building and sculpture. Performs well as slabs although it will have rough edges due to the grog content. The addition of grog makes it especially strong for hand building and sculpture. It will start to turn black at 1150C and become fully black at 1190C.
Firing range – 1020C -1200C.
Shrinkage (w-f) 9% at 1100C.
0.34% expansion at 500C.
Texture (1-smooth 10 coarse) 5.
Fired colour: Red/ Black Brown.
