Description

Duncan Cover Coat Samoa Peach Opaque Underglaze colour can be applied directly on to greenware or bisque. Shake well. Apply 3 coats to greenware or cone 04 bisque. Fire to cone 04 to permanently adhere Cover-Coat to ware. Apply clear glaze if desired and fire to cone 06. Clean up with water.Good to know:
The firing range for these underglazes is 1040 – 1240C.
Cone 04 to Cone 6.
Cover Coat dries quickly and can easily be painted over without lifting the colours underneath.
To sgraffito, gently scratch through the applied colour use a sgraffito or fine decorating tool to reveal the colour or the clay body beneath it.
Cover Coat can also be air brushed.
Cover Coat can be glazed with any dinnerware safe glaze to make them food safe.
2-coat coverage is semi-translucent or semi-opaque.
3-coat coverage is generally opaque.
Can be used for overall coverage.
Can be used for washes and watercolour technique.
