Description Can be used on JD18,JD23, JD23-PB, JD18X, JD230, and many older models.
The same controller is used for 208V and 240V, but you will need to know your Phase power. This information can be found on your kiln’s specification plate.You can also look at your power cord. Typically power cords with 3 prongs are single phase, cords with 4 prongs are 3 phase.
If your current J Series kiln does not have 20 Amp Jumper cords, you will have to upgrade your receptacles and jumper cords. Older Jupiters had 15 amp cords and receptacles. The new 20 amp jumper cords can be found here.
